Here's the general procedure for viewing a list of all the forms in your return and deleting unwanted forms, schedules, and worksheets in TurboTax Online:
Sign in to TurboTax and open your return by selecting Continue or Pick up where you left off.
In the left menu, selectTax Tools and then Tools.
In the pop-up window Tool Center, chooseDelete a form.
SelectDelete next to the form, schedule, and worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.
To delete a form that came in the mail (for example, W-2, 1098, or 1099) it's best to do it from within your return. Search for the form name in the search bar (for example, W-2) and select the Jump to link in the search results to get to the summary screen. From here, you can select the trash can icon to delete.
You can't delete Form 1040. If you want to get rid of the information you've entered, you can clear your return.
Sign in to TurboTax and open your return by selecting Continue or Pick up where you left off. In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form. Select Delete next to the form, schedule, and worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.
TurboTax saves tax data and PDF files in the Documents (or My Documents) > TurboTax folder on your PC. To move the return to your PC's Recycle Bin, go to Documents > TurboTax, select the file, and tap Delete on your keyboard (you can also right-click the file and select Delete).
Select Tax Tools from the menu, followed by Tools. Select Delete a form in the pop-up. Scroll down the list of forms and select Delete next to Form 2441. Choose Delete Selected Form to confirm.
If you used TurboTax Online, simply log in to your account and select “Amend a return that was filed and accepted.” If you used our CD/download product, sign back into your return and select “Amend a filed return.”
As long as you haven't paid your TurboTax Online fee (or registered for TurboTax Free Edition), you can clear any data you entered. (Fees paid through Pay With My Refund and prepaid codes also count as "paid.")
Open the tax return in your software and navigate to the Forms section. Locate form 8995 and click on it to open it. Once the form is open, look for the delete button and click on it to remove the form.
Form 8880 is auto-generated. It cannot simply be deleted. To cause TurboTax to remove Form 8880 from your tax return, indicate in the Retirement savings contributions credit section that you were a full-time student.
Open or continue your return in TurboTax. In the left menu, select "Tax Tools" and then "Tools". In the pop-up window Tool Center, select "Delete a form". Select "Delete" next to "Form 8915-F" and "Qualified 2020 Disaster Retirement Distr" and follow the instructions.
If you used TurboTax Online, simply log in to your account and select “Amend a return that was filed and accepted.” If you used our CD/download product, sign back into your return and select “Amend a filed return.” You must file a separate Form 1040-X for each tax return you are amending.
