Priyanka Chopra is everywhere.
What with hit movies both in Hollywood and Bollywood, huge beauty and fashion campaigns, regularly spotted on the front row of catwalk shows and walking the red carpet of every major event.
It's no wonder she appears on both Time's 100 Most Influential People and Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Women in the World.
But, where did it all begin and how did she make a name for herself?
Let's delve into Chopra's impressive career...
2002: Priyanka Chopra Wins Miss World
As a child, Chopra's early ambitions were in a slightly different vein to the route that she eventually took, as she initially wanted to be an engineer.
However, as many of us who proclaimed intentions to become astronauts and professional hip-hop dancers can attest to, childhood ambitions often change.
After winning several local beauty pageants (having been entered by her mother Madhu) and then taking the crown of Miss India, in 2002 Chopra wins the title of Miss World at the contest held in London's Millennium Dome aged 18.
In 2017, she told ELLE UK that she firmly believes you can be both Miss World and a feminist: 'Feminism isn't about drawing lines, it's about erasing them. It's about giving women the power to make their own decisions and not being judged for them - just the way men have for so many years.'
2003: Priyanka Chopra sets her sights on Bollywood
Chopra landed her first Bollywood role a year after winning Miss World in The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. She went on to star in numerous movies in the Indian film industry, including huge commercial success Aitraaz, a film that the BBC were effusive in their praise of saying: 'Ultimately, Aitraaz is Priyanka Chopra's film... she chews up every scene she is in with her magnetic screen presence.'

In 2013, Chopra releases another single 'Exotic' with rapper Pitbull and also lends her vocals to various EDM tracks.

For her performance, Chopra becomes the first South Asian actress to win a People's Choice Award - which she does twice, first for Favourite Actress In a New TV Series in 2016 and then Favourite Dramatic TV Actress in 2017.

She later tells Vogue her only requirement for starring in the show was that her ethnicity wouldn't 'lead the part that I play'.
'I want to have a job. I want to have a plot. I want to have a story,' she reportedly told the casting executive.
2015: Priyanka Chopra Starts Her Own Production Company
Chopra establishes Purple Pebble Pictures (PPP) along with her mother. Located in India, the company's aim is to support those struggling to get a foot in the door of the film industry.
On the company's website, Chopra says she 'aims to bridge the gap between emerging talent and the myriad opportunities that the world of entertainment has to offer'.
