It can. it depends on what the reason is for your pain. It definitely helps with SI issues. It can help with issues revolving around discs that are compressed more than normal.

Find someone that has one and ask to try it out. People with back issues that have found relief with inversion tables will be very helpful, as they understand.

You can find them on Craigslist, you do not have to buy new.

They will help with a situation where your spine is out of alignment. They will not help if a bone growth is pinching a nerve. My neurologist told me to try it as you will know almost immediately if it helps and if it doesn't it will do no harm. I got help from mine for several years but it no longer helps much.

I agree with what's been said. I have one and have used it a few times, for just a few minutes, and have gotten relief. I've had three discectomies but every once in awhile ibuprofin doesn't relieve the pain or swelling and a few minutes hanging around and I'm good. I feel it helps to take some type of medication to get any swelling down first. This is me though!

My back pain issues are simply from vertebra going out of alignment, or my SI joint going out. No real nerve or muscle issues.

I have used a series of stretches, an inversion table, and a 6" foam roller to great effect to manage my spinal alignment and resultant back pain.

A couple hours online and a $20 foam roller are the cheap places to start, depending on where you have pain.

Inversion tables are great but they take up space and cause me to have an acid reflux flare up.

I have had one for quite a while. For me if hang a couple times when I first notice symptoms it helps. If I don’t do it soon enough it helps but takes a while to get back to normal. Not doing stupid stuff and keeping work boots souls in good shape make a big difference too.

I have had issues with sciatic nerve pain usually in the fall when I sit in the combine every day. I got a table about a month ago and use it about every other night for about five minutes at a time. It has really helped me a lot. As others have said look on Craigslist. And there are usually some on there for sale.

Talking with a chiro just today about this.
His answers were about the same as here - depends on the problem, works great for some type, not for others.

Tried one once.

Don't finance it if you get one. You'll find yourself upside down.

Sorry. couldn't help myself.

I liked the anti gravity chair better but they are very proud of them.
