Is it hard to drive the Slingshot? ›

None of this is bad, and if you don't push the Slingshot, it is easy to drive, but if you want to flog it, you had better be a fairly skilled driver — and you better be comfortable with power-induced oversteer. It's also a three-track vehicle, meaning avoiding obstacles falls between difficult and impossible.

No. In the State of Florida, our vehicles are considered autocycles and as such a motorcycle endorsem*nt is not required. As long as you have a valid driver's license you are good to go!

Polaris® Slingshots are street legal and you must have a driver's license to operate this vehicle in California. Laws vary in each state so please make sure to be aware of the particular state you are in. In the State of California, you are required to wear a full-face DOT approved helmet.

The Slingshot isn't just for beach cruising and twisty bits; it can be driven on the highway, as well, even if it's a far more of a nerve-racking experience.

Can You Daily Drive a Slingshot? A Slingshot car is designed to be more of a weekend toy as opposed to a daily driver. It is possible to use a Slingshot as your only vehicle, but you need the right kind of climate for it.
