Wow, what a nightmare! I've only had good experiences with RTC and I've been using them here and there for years. So sorry to hear of your debacle. I usually give the ride a 40 min window if I'm planning on meeting someone on the other end. But for $2.50 RT, I'll give it the 40 min out of my 2-week trip.

Take the CX bus coming back. It takes the highway and drops you off at Horseshoe . Yeah, you’ll have to catch the Duece by Ceasars/Bellagio (I recommend Ceasars) which can be a busy stop. CX bus only runs once an hour though so gotta look up the schedule.

Depends on your tolerance and how much experience you have
If you're a rookie be carefull as it can take 2 hrs to fully get into your system so don't do more then 2 before then

I would not recommend this in the heat since it requires walking from the horseshoe stop to almost outside cosmo. Taking deuce all the way would be much better even if it's slightly longer.
