Replacement: serpentine belt – FORD FUSION (JU_). Tools you'll need:
Combination spanner #15
Torx bit T30
Ratchet wrench
Fender cover
Replacement: serpentine belt – FORD FUSION (JU_). AUTODOC recommends:
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: serpentine belt – FORD FUSION (JU_). Use the following procedure:

Step 1
Open the bonnet.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.
Step 4
Undo the fasteners of the oil pan lower cover. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench.

Step 5
Remove the oil pan cover.

Step 6
Pull aside the V-ribbed belt tensioner pulley. Use a combination spanner #15.

Step 7
Remove the V-ribbed belt.

Step 8
Return the tensioner pulley to its initial position.
Replacement: serpentine belt – FORD FUSION (JU_). Professionals recommend:
Check the condition of the tensioner pulley and idler pulley. Replace them if necessary.
Step 9
Install the V-ribbed belt.
Replacement: serpentine belt – FORD FUSION (JU_). AUTODOC experts recommend:
Make sure that the V-ribbed belt fits all pulleys snugly.

Step 10
Pull aside the V-ribbed belt tensioner pulley. Use a combination spanner #15.
Step 11
Place the V-ribbed belt on the tensioner pulley.

Step 12
Return the tensioner pulley to its initial position. Use a combination spanner #15.
Step 13
Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.
Step 14
Shut off the engine.
Step 15
Reinstall the oil pan lower cover.

Step 16
Tighten the fasteners of the oil pan lower cover. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 17
Lower the car.
Step 18
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 19
Close the hood.
