However, it should be fairly easy to determine which products are made in the United States and which are imported internationally.

Aldi's 'aisle of shame' is a middle row of goodies that have nothing to do with groceries. Shoppers are huge fans of it. Aldi Finds aisle, or what its superfans call the "Aisle of shame."

Taking to Reddit, the ex-employee said: "You actually have to hit a percentage of 83 per cent or higher on item per minute scanned. They would get upset if you didn't get 95 per cent or above. Some cashiers I worked with would hit 110 per cent."

Today, the elusive Albrecht family still owns both of the successful chains. The version you know as Aldi in America is actually Aldi Süd, while Trader Joe's operates under the auspices of Aldi Nord — and the U.S. is the only place outside of Germany where you'll find both.
